A Life Dedicated to Reiki
Jordi Ibern is a Reiki teacher and therapist with more than twenty years of experience. For many years he has taught Reiki —and also meditation— as a way of living with presence, without escaping from life. As a way of finding peace.
Founder of Kisetsu, Reiki & Meditation School, he has accompanied thousands of people through learning, practice and inner transformation, always with honesty, kindness and a profound respect for the Japanese roots of Reiki.
He was born in a small inland town and, after a difficult childhood, found in Reiki a path back to himself. He followed it until his life became inseparable from the practice.
His Relationship with Reiki
As he often says, he did not seek Reiki —Reiki found him.
He trained in Usui Reiki Ryōhō and continued deepening with internationally respected teachers such as Yamaguchi Sensei, Rika Saruhashi and Frank A. Petter. Every year he travels to Japan to keep studying, practicing and teaching, and there he leads a twelve-day retreat and master training in rural, authentic Japan. He also teaches in Kurama, the birthplace of Reiki.
Alongside his teaching work, Jordi has founded two non-profit associations to share Reiki with people at risk of social exclusion. They currently collaborate with the NGO ABD in Barcelona.
Zen, Meditation and Psychology
His teachings are deeply influenced by Japanese spirituality and Zen, especially by the work of Thich Nhat Hanh and the Plum Village community, where he completed retreats and intensive training. He has also travelled to China to study Qi Gong and Tai Chi, and has completed training in mindfulness, emotional awareness and psychology.
He has taught courses, workshops and retreats in Spain, Europe and Asia, and is the author of The Spiritual Path of Reiki and Meditación: parar, observar, aceptar.
Today
Today he lives in Barcelona with his family and dedicates his life to sharing a practice that is simple, respectful and deeply human. A practice that, as he often says, does not fix life… but it illuminates it.
